I was always a very active kid who loved to play outside, but my love for fitness and weight training began when I started high school and joined the weight lifting team. I found my passion for sports and healthy competition at the age of 10 when I discovered my love for soccer. I couldn't get enough of it. Some of the best memories of my life came from those young soccer teams, a few of which my mom (who mind you, never played soccer in her life, but had a passion to learn it and a wonderful way with us girls) coached us to undefeated seasons. In high school, I played soccer, volleyball, competitively weight lifted and long- and triple-jumped for the track team. I even dabbled in softball for a bit (not my favorite-sorry softball fans).
I've been married to my best friend for 7 years and we have two beautiful, wonderful, full of joy and happiness rescue dogs, Slater and Molly, and a devious (yet super loving and cute) black cat, named Kita.
I graduated in December 2010 from The University of West Florida with a bachelor's degree in Communications/Public Relations and I've been an ACE certified personal trainer since December 2010, as well. I discovered the benefits of Yoga about 7 years ago and I just acquired my YogaFit level 1 certification and am doing my level 2 this month. My goal is to pass on the benefits of Yoga to my clients, even it's the simple act of breathing.
Although I discovered my love for sports and fitness at an early age, I have had my fair share of challenges with consistency.
